Forestry Mulching

Forestry Mulching is a relatively new alternative for land clearing. It takes a complete different approach to how it should be done. With the typical land clearing of the past, everything was either cut by hand and hauled off to rot or be burned. Or they may have also used bulldozers to plow everything over ripping up the soil causing damage to the vegetation you would like to keep. The new way, Forestry mulching will require one machine and very little resources.

Our machine grinds the brush and trees in place down to have the stumps flush with the ground or just beneath the soil level. When this is done the trees that were just shredded are left in mulch form spread over the soil or forest floor. This layer of mulch accomplishes a couple of key things for the environment. First, the layer of mulch acts as an erosion control protecting that vital top layer of soil from washing away. Mulch is recognized by the EPA as a form of erosion control. The second is that the mulch will decompose over time slowly releasing nitrogen back into the soil which trees need to survive. Decomposing mulch will give trees the correct amount of nitrogen to thrive.

The process of forestry mulching is more efficient and environmentally friendly than any other way. Unlike conventional land clearing, one compact high horsepower forestry mulching machine replaces many steps and leaves you with a quality end product that is healthy for the environment. Forestry mulching is great way to revive your land, clean up logging operations, open up views, create trails, prepare a site for building and manage the invasive species that will take over your land.
